Poisoned Oak
So I had a brief battle with Urushiol or poisoned oak lately. Its times like those that you can appreciate calagel, witch hazel, and oatmeal baths.
This rash was pretty bad, it kind of compounded over the course of a month and a half. Witch Hazel was really what got rid of the rash, though I am staying pretty vigilant and continuing to use the special poisoned oak soap. Hopefully it doesn’t get worse before it goes away.
It was kind of nice to spend some time just healing, I felt like I was mobilizing an army that was my body for war. We do have billions of cells at our disposal, which is pretty cool though.
Being sick is never fun, but it’s always good to get perspective. First yoga class is in two days, can’t wait for it.
