Yoga’s origins may be 5,000 years old. The practice was first mentioned in the Rig Veda. It is ancient, though the modern form of yoga is very different from sitting in a prone position for hours on end. We have a lot teachers and individuals to thank for this, many of which have articles below.
I love learning about history because it helps me to be more aware in present situations. Some of this knowledge is personal, some of it is from the internet, but most is a mixture of the two.
